I have had the pleasure of working with some very talented musicians over the years and Mike Meier is at the top of that list
He is the reason Quarter Moon exists
This CD is a very special project and I will be forever grateful to Mike for believing in me and the music
I have had a wide range of musical influences such as Mama Cass, Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks and Melissa Etheridge
My Favorite songs usually give you something to think about that may cause you to reevaluate the way you look at things
I can’t remember a time when I was not singing, creating lyrics and melodies. The challenge was and is to extract them from my head, get them written down, and sculpt them into a form that could be called a song and then have the courage to present it to the world
I have been asked many times, “Why did you write that song? “Or “What was my inspiration?”. It seems that people expect a personal story for each song but the truth is that most of my songs are a collage of elements with inspiration from other peoples’ stories as well as my own and the emotion interjected from my own experience
This leaves the door open for the listener to feel the music with personal interpretation
People listen to music for inspiration, a personal message or simply to appreciate the creative expression
Music is the one constant resource of strength in my life
Whenever life gets difficult music keeps my feet on the ground and moving forward
